Music Moelfre

Two nights of free open air entertainment on the green opposite the Kinmel Arms, Moelfre on selected dates in July and August

 

Music Moelfre are quality music evenings, well supported, and enjoyed by locals and visitors alike – unfortunately we cannot dictate the weather!

 

Over the years financial support has been received occasionally by Menter Môn and Menter Iaith, Arts Council for Wales, Isle of Anglesey County Council Economic Department ‘Events grant’, Moelfre Partnership, Concertina Charitable Trust, and GwirVol volunteering grant.

 

Because of unfavourable wet weather on 24th July 2010 the first night of Music Moelfre this year unfortunately had to be cancelled.

 

The second night of Music Moelfre on 31st July 2010 was a huge success, an excellent night of rock and pop entertainment – the performers this year were a rock and pop duo from Liverpool – Rock Revolution.

 

They are a well established act on the North West music scene featuring the talents of Mark and Dom consisting of lead guitar, electric piano and vocals.

 

The set consists of rock and pop to oldies and modern stuff, featuring songs of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen and Thin Lizzie through to The Killers and The Kaiser Chiefs

 

Also appearing as a special guest was guitar soloist Les Glover

 

The success of this night slightly made up for cancelling the first night – we hope to invite all artists back for 2011
